Fioretti honors Yvette

A few weeks ago, a group of educators from the ITEP des Fioretti and the management of the association Atouts et perspectives, support of the establishment, set up, in connection with food shops in the sector, Logistics to deliver groceries to older or less mobile residents.
It was by delivering a beneficiary on the pool side that one of them remembered that Yvette Dubois resided in the area. The latter was an accountant of what was an orphanage of boys, in the Grande Rue, before becoming the centre we know, built in the 1980s, road of Loudun. Last Thursday, Yvette celebrated her 99th birthday on her own

She was surprised to see a delegation of the Fioretti, a climbing rose, landed at her home, offered by the establishment, with the benevolence of the Braye-sous-Faye garden. “I am not opening you because of the health crisis, but as soon as we are done with it, you will come back and we will water the planted rose and my birthday, in moderation,” joked the almost centenary, opening its window, to break its solitude for a few moments.

The association takes care of its communication

Nawel Sedano sent a hundred CVs to be able to follow his BTS communication alternately. It is not easy to find an internship in these troubled times. The Atouts et Perspectives association (historically Village des jeunes) offered the student a two-year internship, during her studies, to set up and maintain communication with multiple challenges. What more could we wish for this young 20-year-old woman who already has ideas, facilities with current tools and above all a strong desire to help spread a modern and dynamic image of the former association La Paternelle, of which nothing remains, if not the extraordinary site and an image that sticks to the skin, distorted by the prism of the past. La Paternelle no longer exists, let’s face it. Today, a support structure for young people with disabilities, with behavioral problems but intact intelligence, is resolutely open to the outside. Exit therefore, prison and other difficult working conditions reserved for young delinquents, in any case perceived as such, in an era that has now passed.

The real challenge today is to transform that image, to hammer home with the last rebel spirits that everything has changed. This young communications officer works there with fervor: “My goal is to create the tools and to make them sustainable. Make sure to create stable communication, which will last after my departure. ” The tools ? The creation of a YouTube channel, a LinkedIn page, a website providing information on the different axes of the structure. “At Aftec, the teachers give us a lot of autonomy and a lot of tools are at our disposal. I discovered the secrets of successful communication, it’s fascinating, “says the student, who already knows that she will continue her studies with a license dedicated to the digital world. In the meantime, this communicator can show you around or get information.

The painter George Baylouni

The Atouts et Perspectives association, of the Mettray Youth Village, welcomes the Franco-Syrian painter George Baylouni in residence. Very well known in the Middle East, he has exhibited many times and received several awards. He moved into a workshop that had just been rehabilitated by eleven young people from Itep and their building trades trainers.

Time, walls and symbols: these are his three pillars of work. Time “because it is the shared memory on the scale of humanity,” he says. The walls, which are for him paintings that bear witness; some are covered with superimposed wallpapers which are so many pieces of history. As for symbols, he looks for them throughout the history of peoples, cultural, religious, geometric. “The artist is the one who unifies symbols with humanism”.

He lingered for a long time on the ancient Eastern, Assyro-Babylonian or Phoenician civilizations and intertwines them today with the West.
